  I had to race home.

  They were in the midst of devouring each other out of hunger because she had forgotten to feed them. They survived, but now both of them didn’t have arms with which to feed themselves.

  Karen and I got into a big fight over this.

  Grandpa grew despondent not to be able to see them fight any more with the way they used to claw at one another. Then we had to care for him too.

  Sigh.

  Well, at least.

  The living dead were done for.

  Some hailed me as a hero while others thought my tale of woe an urban legend. But I was there. I had lived it.

  It was my Bar Mitzvah that had been attacked by zombies.

  This didn’t happen everyday.
